CASA MP . MP HOUSE . MP 之屋

Cuando nos solicitaron la casa MP, se nos presentó el reto de considerar y reconciliar todos los aspectos de una casa comercial para venta con el lenguaje y la búsqueda formal de nuestro despacho. Fue un reto que nos pareció interesante considerando lo ajeno y distante que puede parecer nuestra arquitectura en una ciudad de sangre barroca como Morelia.

La casa se emplaza en un terreno de 250m2. Colinda con otros terrenos y futuros desarrollos tanto en la parte posterior (la fachada sur) como en los costados (fachada oriente y poniente), lo que limitó nuestras fuentes de luz y ventilación a únicamente el frente (la fachada norte) y por arriba.

En ese momento, fue muy natural decidirnos por un elemento que ya habíamos utilizado anteriormente y con el que nos sentimos muy cómodos: un patio central. Éste funcionaría como principal difusor de luz y aire, y como punto focal de todos los espacios de la casa.

Este patio se convirtió en el corazón de la casa. "Hay que ver a Dios, no a los vecinos"; con estas palabras, Luis Barragán justificaba robarse el cielo para meterlo en sus espacios. Así decidimos apropiarnos del cielo y enmarcarlo con los altos muros que definían este espacio.

La casa MP se compone visualmente de dos volúmenes: uno blanco prácticamente cerrado, con excepción de una ventana que permite una vista franca a la ciudad desde la recámara principal; y otro gris, que soporta a su contraparte blanca y pretende, con el uso del color, desaparecer y darle protagonismo al volumen superior. Su fachada acristalada al norte permite una vista franca a la ciudad desde la cocina, desde otros espacios públicos, y desde el patio.

When we were requested the MP house, we were challenged to consider and reconcile all aspects of a commercial house for sale with the language and formal search of our brand. It was a challenge that we found interesting considering how foreign and distant our architecture can seem in a city of Baroque nature like Morelia.

The house is located on a plot of 250 square meters. It borders other land and future developments both on the back (the south facade) and on the sides (east and west facade), which limited our light and ventilation sources to just the front (the north facade) and above.

At the time, we naturally decided on an element that we had previously used and with which we feel very comfortable: a central courtyard. This would function as the main diffuser of light and air, and as a focal point to all spaces in the house.

This patio became the heart of the house, "We must see God, not the neighbors". With these words, Luis Barragan justified stealing the sky to put inside his spaces, so we decided to appropriate the sky and frame it with the high walls that outlined our courtyard.

The MP house is visually composed of two volumes: a white one practically closed, with the exception of a window that allows a full view of the city from the main bedroom; and a gray one, which supports the former and pretends, with the use of color, to disappear and give prominence to its white counterpart above. Its glazed facade to the north allows for a clear view of the city from the kitchen, from other public spaces, and from the patio.

当要求我们设计MP之屋时，我们所面临的挑战是如何考虑和调和商品房销售的所有方面与我们品牌的语言和正式搜索。

这个挑战要考虑到我们的建筑在莫雷利亚这样的巴洛克风格的城市中显得多么陌生和遥远，我们觉得很有意义。

该房屋位于250平方米的地块上。

它的背面（南面）和侧面（东面和西面）都与其他土地和未来的发展相接壤，这限制了我们在正面（北面）和上面的光线和通风来源。  

当时，我们自然而然地决定采用以前使用过的元素，而且我们觉得非常舒服：中央庭院。

这将作为光线和空气的主要扩散器，并作为房子里所有空间的焦点。

这个天井成为房屋的核心，“我们必须看到上帝，而不是邻居”。

通过这些话，Luis Barragan有理由撷取一片天空放在他的空间里，所以我们决定采用天空元素， 并用高墙勾勒出院子的框架。

MP之屋在视觉上由两个体量组成：一个白色的体量几乎是封闭的，除了一扇窗户，可以从主卧

室看到整个城市的景色；另一个灰色的体量，支撑着前者，通过颜色的使用，佯装消失，让上面的白色对应体更加突出。

它向北的玻璃外墙允许从厨房、其他公共空间和天井清楚地看到城市的景色。
